Conditions Of Service

Bitch owner/leasee to obtain and present to stud owner a negative brucellosis test on above mentioned bitch, test results to accompany bitch if breeding side by side.

Artificial Insemination is to be performed by stud owner with no liability on his/her part unless bitch owner/leasee specifically requires the service of a veterinarian in which case bitch owner/leasee is liable for all veterinary charges. Goodwin Shelties requires a negative Brucellosis test prior to breeding. All bitches will be bred by AI, ovulation tests will be performed while at Goodwin Shelties if bitch owner/leasee wishes at bitch owner's expense to pin point optimal breeding time. Bitch will be bred on alternate days while in standing heat.

This contract will guarantee the mating of listed dogs through AI or shipped semen. A non-refundable breeding fee of $300 is due at time of service, with $500 balance to be owed. No breeding fee will be refunded should bitch fail to whelp. All balances of stud fee due are to be paid by the time puppies are two weeks old. The stud dog owner guarantees that, the stud portion of an official AKC, CKC, and or UKC litter registration form will be filled out, signed and handed to owner of bitch upon receipt of the full stud fee.

However, if full stud fee is paid in advance, and less that two puppies are alive 10 days after whelping or if the bitch should fail to conceive and stud owner receives written notification of same within 30 days of whelping date, a return service will be given at the next heat to the very same bitch, but may be transferrable to another bitch APPROVED by stud owner. If bitch changes ownership or fails to conceive after return service, this contract is terminated. The stud dog owner guarantees that, the stud portion of an official AKC, CKC, and or UKC litter registration form will be filled out, signed and handed to owner of bitch/leasee when litter is born.

Owner/Leasee of bitch agrees that no puppy from this breeding will be sold as a pet without the requirement of a spay/neuter contract and Limited Registration with the AKC. Owner/Leasee of bitch agrees to not knowingly sell or transfer any puppies whelped as a result of this breeding to any person or firm connected with the sale or resale of dogs. Owner/Leasee of the bitch agrees to notify stud dog owner of any genetic defects that appear in any puppy from this breeding.

Owner/Leasee of bitch agrees to provide stud owner with a copy of the AKC records for the resulting litter. Bitch owner/leasee has, to the best of their knowledge, informed stud owner of any genetic issues this bitch possesses or has produced in prior litters.

When breeding through fresh chilled semen, Goodwin Shelties can ship by FedEx overnight air for a flat $100 per shipment plus the cost of extender, this and the breeding fee must be prepaid. We ask you to contact us the day before needing a collection by 10am Central Standard Time if you wish to ship so that we have time to get the shipment booked and ready for morning pick up.  Bitch owners/leasees can either order their own shipping containers from Exodus Breeders Corporation or Rover shippers and have them sent ahead of breeding. Otherwise, shipping boxes can be purchased or rented for an extra $30 from Goodwin Shelties (if rented, the $30 fee will be refunded upon return).

Any deviation from this standard contract will be noted below as agreed to by the parties involved. Signature of this contract acknowledges acceptance of all terms by both parties.

Both the Bitch Owner/Lessee and Stud Owner have read the above contract and understand and agree to all the conditions stated herein. No amendments or attachments have been made/added to this contract. This contract is legal and binding. Both parties agree that any legal action to enforce this contract will be brought forth in Will County, Illinois where SELLER resides.
